Why was this Sailor chosen to be highlighted? GSM3 Martin is a motivated self-starter and a shining example of the Navy core values. His can do attitude, coupled with his ability to solve complex problems, has made him an irreplaceable asset to the SERMC team. With checking onboard only three months ago he has qualified QA Craftsman and 3M Maintenance person.
Some of the complex jobs include: CASREP repair on Teleflex (USS Lassen), Gypsy wench motor cover repair (USS Milwaukee), Boat Davit motor bearing repair (USS Fort McHenry and overhauled six ready service lockers (USS Milwaukee). Petty Officer Martin requires no supervision; as the GO-TO-GUY, he is a catalyst for success regardless of the nature of assignment. His skills and technical abilities are what the Navy has to have to be successful.
