Lunch options on Naval Station Mayport are expanding this week.  Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Mayport is rolling out a new menu at the Chief Petty Officers’ (CPO) Club. The Southern Bistro menu in the Foc’sle Lounge at the CPO Club aims to diversify the meal options on base and serve people quickly on their lunch break.

“We are adding new southern favorites like mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread,” said Hospitality Manager, Libby Swim, “while keeping some of our popular entrees like fried chicken.”

The menu includes an entrée, two sides and a drink for only $9.95. With a choice of six entrees and nine sides, there are 486 possible meal combinations. It is also designed to streamline orders for speedy service.

“We want to offer fast, affordable, diverse lunch options for people on base,” Swim stated.

The Southern Bistro Menu is part of larger agenda to expand meal options on base. In the upcoming months, MWR Mayport also plans add a BBQ restaurant in the Beacon and a pizza restaurant in the Bowling Center. This is in addition to the American cuisine offered at Bogey’s Restaurant and the Irish-style pub in the Beacon called Loggerheads Pub.

The CPO Club is open to all hands for lunch Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. For more information about the CPO Club, or MWR Mayport, visit www.navymwrmayport.com, follow us on Facebook, and download our mobile app.
