Why was this Sailor nominated: While TAD to the USS Farragut (DDG 99), Petty Officer Adib's avid desire to improve resulted in his qualification as Quartermaster of the Watch (QMOW) on an Arleigh Burke-class Destroyer.
He gained the recognition and confidence of the Navigation team as well as the trust of the Commanding Officer who is the final qualifier. His knowledge and experience in Navigation lead to the successful training of five Sailors in preparation for USS Farragut's READ-E7 certification.
