Jenkins is a native of Palos Verdes, Calif.  In 2004, she graduated the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor's of Science in English and a minor in Spanish.

Her first tour of duty was aboard USS Lake Champlain (CG 57), where she served as the Gunnery Officer.  She completed two deployments: one to the Arabian Gulf and one to Seventh Fleet while onboard.  In 2006, Jenkins reported to USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) where she served as Combat Information Center Officer, and deployed on the inaugural Africa Partnership Station deployment throughout Western Africa and the Gulf of Guinea.  She was then forward deployed to the Gulf of Aden 2009, in her following tour as Aide to CTF 151/ESG 2 for the first Flag-led counter piracy coalition.

In 2012, Jenkins reported to USS Gonzalez (DDG 66) serving as the Operations Officer and deploying to the coast of Somalia to conduct an independent scan eagle mission.  She finished her second Department Head tour as the N3 at DESRON 23 in San Diego.

Jenkins assumed command of USS Tornado in September 2015. Recently, she filled a gap in Commanding Officers and took command of USS Chinook (PC-9) in Manama, Bahrain before returning to command Tornado.

During her shore duty at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill NROTC, Jenkins earned her MBA from the Kenan Flaglar School of Business. She also completed her Joint Professional Military Education Phase One (JPME I) while at UNC.

A native of Menlo, Washington, Zieroth was commissioned in 2007 through the STA-21 program, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine and a Master of Arts degree from the Naval War College.

Early in his career Zieroth served as a Fire Controlman with tours aboard USS Rodney M. Davis (FFG 60) from 1997 to 2001 and at Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet from 2001 to 2004. He was selected for the STA-21 program in 2004.

Zieroth completed his division officer tours aboard USS Germantown (LSD 42) where he deployed to the Arabian Gulf and supported the LSD midlife upgrade from 2007 to 2009. His second tour was aboard USS Port Royal (CG 73) as the Damage Control Assistant from 2009 to 2011. For his shore tour he was assigned to the Surface Officer Warfare School (SWOS) in Newport, R.I. as the Advanced Shiphandling and Tactics lead instructor and Advanced Division Officer Course curriculum design team.  Upon completion of Department Head school Zieroth was assigned as Weapons Officer aboard USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) and was deployed in support of C6F operations.
