Mayport Swim Club. Open hours at the Natatorium. FREE. Build up your cardio strength and endurance while earning great incentives. Swimmers can track their mileage in our binder on the pool deck. Awards will be given at 50 miles, 100 miles, 200 miles, 300 miles, 400 miles and 500 miles intervals. 270-3275
Masters Swim. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 5:30 - 7 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. FREE. Masters Swimming is an Adult Swimming Fitness program that meets the needs of all swimmers from beginners to former Olympians. Our workouts are designed to help each swimmer met their individual goals ranging from improving their swimming skills, learning new strokes, prepping for the Navy PFA, qualifying for special warfare programs, getting ready for swimming competitions and Triathlons or just to add variety to their workout regimen. 270-3275
Now - Feb. 1: Swim Stroke Training: Session 1. Tuesdays 6 - 7 a.m. and Thursdays 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the Natatorium. FREE. Open to active duty only. Register at the Natatorium. Swim Stroke Training is designed to develop, improve, or refine stroke mechanics and improve swimming endurance. Session will empower the active duty sailors with the swimming skills that are needed to pass 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Class swim test. Session 2 is Feb. 6 - March 1. 270-3275
Jan. 23: American Red Cross Jr. Lifeguarding Course. Course begins Jan. 23 and runs Tuesdays 4 - 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Natatorium. The course is $30 for kids ages 11 - 14. Prequalify and register at the Lifeguards' Office in the Natatorium. Jr. Lifeguarding has a strong focus on developing swimming skills to help participants meet the Lifeguarding course prerequisite. 270-3275
Jan. 22 - 26. 1-Hour Endurance Swim. Open hours at the Natatorium. FREE. Register at the Lifeguards' office for official rules. All participants must provide their own verifier to count laps and record cumulative split times. 270-3275
Jan. 18 - Feb. 20: Lose to Win. FREE for active duty. $5 for dependents, retirees, and DOD. Register at the Fitness Center. Lose to Win is a 4-week weight loss program where we will focus on new and exciting ways to achieve weight loss and accomplish your fitness goals. March 3: Mayport Color Run 5K. 9:00 a.m. at the Fitness Center. Cost is $5 per person. Register at the Fitness Center. Get splashed in waves of color and become your own work of art in this one-of-a-kind event. Registration includes sunglasses, and custom headband. 270-3274
