From MWR

Naval Station Mayport "Club Teen" sent four teens and two staff to Chicago, Ill., to attend the 2017 BGCA Military Teen Ambassadors Training and National Keystone Conference Feb.27-March 5.

This trip was an opportunity for teens to gain vital character and leadership development programming and develop their leadership, team building, public speaking, and youth advocacy skills.

The National Keystone Conference focused on three main areas of learning: Activism, Teen Voice and Legacy. The focus for the 2017 Teen Ambassador Training was on the 7 C's of Resilience, and Reintegration. This opportunity was one to remember as teens gained useful information to take back and share. The teens Teens will be conducting a Resiliency activity on April 13, 5-6 p.m. and a Reintegration Activity on May 4, 5-6 p.m., both will take place at the Youth Activities Center (Multi-Purpose Room).
