[ More ] New Commander For The Sullivans Cmdr. Ryan C. Tillotson relieved Cmdr. Anthony J. Parisi as commanding officer of USS The Sullivans (DDG 68) on Dec. 7. CDR Parisi had command of The Sullivans from June 2006 to December 2007. An elaborate change of command ceremony took place on the flight deck of The Sullivans in her home port of Mayport, FL. Nygaard Takes Helm of Vicksburg Capt. John "Chuck" Ny-gaard relieved Capt. Charles C. Swicker as commanding officer of USS Vicksburg (CG 69), in a Dec. 9 ceremony while underway in the Arabian Gulf Sammy B. Remembers Pearl Harbor More than 50 veterans and family members went to sea Dec. 7, to remember those who lost their lives during the 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Among the group were four surviving Sailors. SecDef Visits USS Vicksburg U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert M.
