USNS Comfort, DESRON 24 Continues Humanitarian Mission In Central America
USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) with Mayport-based Destroyer Squadron Two Four (DESRON 24) has been deployed since June, providing much needed medical care and many other services within the context of their Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HA/DR) Training mission to Central and South America. DESRON 24 is the embarked command element and is responsible for the safe and successful execution of Comfort's mission.
