Mayport Ships Break Mold In 2nd Fleet Protection Exercise

USS Vicksburg (CG 69), along with four additional FFG CLASSRON ships USS Simpson (FFG 56), USS Doyle (FFG 39), USS Halyburton (FFG 40), and USS Hawes (FFG 53) completed the Second Fleet Force Protection Exercise (FPEX 08-6) on May 21. The overall unit score for all participants was 94.6 percent, the highest composite score to date. [ More ]

Talcahuano Welcomes USS Farragut Sailors
USS Farragut (DDG 99) anchored in Talcahuano, Chile, and participated with Chilean Sailors of the Talcahuano Naval Base in Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) events. Farragut's TSC port visit, held from the 25th through 29th of May, had great impact for the Sailors of both countries, and further solidified their ongoing partnership.
