CNRSE Talks Cycle Safety
May is motorcycle safety awareness month. In the past three weeks, alone there have been three motorcycle fatalities. Although none of the personnel killed recently were specifically assigned to our activity UIC's they were assigned to tenant commands we support for traffic safety. Therefore, I am asking for your support in helping to eliminate future fatalities. Pass the word to all your supported tenants that motorcycle safety is a priority. No military personnel should be riding a motorcycle without first having successfully completing a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. One fatality involved a rider on a temporary pass, waiting to get into a class. As standardized policy: no future passes will be issued except for the dates for the actual class they are registered. Bases that are presently giving passes in excess of this policy must bring their programs into compliance, or convey why this is not attainable.
