NS Mayport Gets 'Swift' Visit

New Skipper For ATG Mayport
Capt. William F. Larson was relieved by Capt. Glenn W. Zeiders III as commanding officer of Afloat Training Group Mayport (ATGM) on March 30, during a change of command ceremony held in the Afloat Training Group Auditorium.

McInerney, RGB Back At Mayport
More than 400 Sailors on the guided missile frigates USS McInerney (FFG 8) and USS Robert G. Bradley (FFG 49) returned to Mayport on April 5 after being deployed under the operational controlf of U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command for Counter-Narco Terrorism deployments. These ships integrated with various Coast Guard vessels, and foreign navies, notably Colombia, Mexico and Costa Rica in support of these operations. Also returning are two embarked Mayport helicopter detachments HSL-46 detachment One and HSL 46 detachment Three.

McInerney Offloads Cocaine From U.S. Coast Guard
Military personnel from the Coast Guard and Navy handed more than 30,000 pounds of cocaine with an import value of approximately $400 million to federal agents last Thursday.


USS Carney Rescues Sailors At Sea
USS Carney (DDG 64) rescued a civilian vessel at sea March 30, with assistance from Martinique's Coast Guard Station.
