[ More ] HSL-46 'Sons of Liberty' Fight War On Drugs The spirit of the holidays were still in the air when Naval Station Mayport's USS Robert G. Bradley (FFG-49) and HSL-46's Detachment One, "The Sons of Liberty," returned from the first half of their deployment on Jan. 11. USS Robert G. Bradley and the Sons of Liberty have been conducting Counter Narco-Terrorism (CNT) operations in the Eastern Pacific since late October. USS Bataan Deploys In Support Of Maritime SecOps The multipurpose amphibious assault ship, USS Bataan (LHD 5), departed its homeport Jan. 4 as the flagship of the Bataan Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) for a regularly scheduled six-month deployment. The deployment marks the first time Bataan has deployed overseas since 2004. The Bataan ESG deployed to conduct maritime security operations in support of the ongoing rotation of forward-deployed forces.
